Sound familiar?! I think I’ve heard every mom I know say this at some point after having a baby. I’ve said it, thought it, believed I NEEDED it.
The truth... my body is incredible, amazing, strong, capable, it tells a story. My body is not as tight or flat in some areas but it’s also capable of way more then I ever knew.
Accept it, love it, or take steps everyday to change it.
Have you heard my story of being a personal trainer & fitness pro. It includes working out like a crazy person & training clients until the week before each of my kids were born. It also includes going back to teaching fitness classes & training 4 weeks after having each baby! This story is one of having 4 kids, 4 c-sections, severe diastasis recti from not taking my own advice & my knowing “better” with my first 3 pregnancies.
My story is one that so many women suffer with, get frustrated, don’t take the time to actually heal or see a qualified professional.
I am not the most patient person BUT after the 4th, I knew I had to smarten up, take my own advice, change my thought, seek out a professional (or several) & ever so slowly take 1 step forward.
I’m at 4 years of working on myself so that I can have a pain free, functional core that may not look as pretty outside, but inside it’s on fire!!!
Im sharing this for all women out there who aren’t happy with their body. I’m sharing it for all moms who crave to have their “body back after baby”. What if you could shift your mindset? What if you were actually healthy, fit, strong, able to run with your kids, eat what your body needed, feel alive... that’s what I want! Thats what we need to support each other with. That’s what our goal should actually be. Workout for your health, not for a number! Teach your kids the power of moving your body and loving your body!
