👩🏾🍳🍽Step-by-step guide to easier meals 👍🏾🍱
I’ve got a personal meal prep and food tip for you today to help make your mealtimes a little easier.
I don’t know about you but a couple months back … I found it much easier to make healthier meals and snacks on a daily basis. WHY - because we were pretty much stuck at home with 0 on our schedules!
Now that kids are back to school, everyone is playing sports, we can go out for “coffee”, grab a drink, meet up with friends, etc, it seems that our calendars have filled up again which has led me into focusing on meal prepping & planning. Being prepared is critical to staying on-track when your schedule gets out of control.

But what if you could FINALLY get into a good weeknight routine so that preparing meals would be a breeze?
-
Cook extra … enough for a second meal… this is especially true when I cook up any sort of meat… I make extra for later in the week OR enough to freeze for another time.
-
I order from a meal delivery service for 2 meals a week - its takes the guess work and meal prep out of 2 meals!
-
I keep the freezer stocked with healthy with some nutrient dense pre-cooked food, lots of frozen fruit (smoothies), and veggies
-
Wash all produce before I put it away AND cut up all the veggies so they’re ready anytime you reach for them
A lot of people tell me they struggle when it comes to their nutrition and meals. I get it!
Does any of this sound familiar? We used to eat the same things every week. I was constantly out of ideas when it came to making dinner. My kids were constantly complaining & whining about something on their plate they didn’t like. There’s nothing ready to go, everyone is hungry, so lets just grab something on the way home…
Anyone else nodding their head right now?
And to be honest, while all of that was going on, I felt on edge, I felt tired, I had so many cravings. But then once I got myself a little more organized, started ordering a couple meals ahead of time that were nutritious, and planned out my groceries - what was actually needed (TIP - order your groceries online), I started to feel more relaxed and like things were falling into place.
It takes time, a little focus, and a little more energy upfront but the payout is so rewarding: I’m not thinking last minute what to make, I’m saving money, my kids are complaining less (they’re kids, so they’re not going to love everything i make), and I’m saving time making food and buying food!
What do you think? Think this would help you in your own life!?
I hope my experience gets your wheels turning on finding solutions for you and your family.
